Real horn is an unstable material that can crack and will oftentimes warp. Imitation horn allows a craftsman to work in a stable material with all of the beauty of natural horn.
This material has a skin on it, so to speak, so it is best to purchase the round stock to be 4mm (.150") larger in diameter than your desired end product so the multi-colored horn beauty will be seen in your final product. We will be offering the material in 16mm, 20mm, 30mm and 38mm (1.5") diameters. It will also be available in blocks that are 1.6" by 2.8" by 5" lengths.
