Application recommendation is to have it backed with white card stock or for the inlay sockets to be painted white or to have white card stock inserts. This will lighten the tortoise color and give it depth.

To make this material pop in an application, spray the back side with a spray adhesive and lay it onto a sheet of gold leaf (or light colored card stock paper for inlays). This will make an inlay, knife handle or gun grip pop in beauty.
